San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #8 & #9

Hahaha~~ You will never stop me from this SF countdown! Although my trip has ended trillion years ago, it's my responsible to blog it all. Don't worry, it will end soon! Because I'm getting busier and busier with my assignments.

There are many cool stores selling souvenirs and seafoods. I don't really expose to those store, but I eat a lot. Hahaha...


You can easily find a delicious seafoods sandwich or crab salad in the market. I bought SHRIMPSSSS... So fresh! US$ 8.90

#9 Ferry Building

Ferry building is like a market place to me too. There are store selling chocolate, wines, fruits and vegetable. Isn't any of these brought me there, is the OYSTER! You can't miss Hog Island oyster, it is rated the best in the city.

We ordered 6 oysters for the first visit. Hog island Atlantic Tomales Bay, US$ 15. Those are fantastic! It tasted very very fresh and smooth!

That's all the seafoods I have. It's time to say goodbye to San Frans. Do you believe me? Of course not!!! I have a last shot before I left SF.


Two dozen of oyster!!! One dozen for me and one dozen for Marsha. I forgot the price, I guess it's US$ 35 per dozen.


She is an oyster freak! That make us a pal.


Hazel missed the tomato based chowder instead of this creamy style.

Where was my hubby while I was having my last oyster? He was busy with Jason. They both have some personal stuff to take care.

Give a break as usual, I'll share my recently bought items. Yup, I shopped a lot.

My First MBA Class

My adviser said, MBA (Master in Business Administration) is about Tylenol (a medicine brand) and vitamins. Everyone in the class laughed out loud.

After 3 hours lecture, I had 10 minutes chat with my adviser. When I was about to go he gave his last word. He said, from now on think about your thinking and evaluate it, practice your mind daily.

That night, I went to bed with sleeping pill.
And yes, it is a Tylenol sleeping pill.

Summer is here

First and foremost, this is not my new hair. I haven't trim it yet. Sigh. My hair dresser canceled the appointment at very very last minute yesterday. Now, I'm composing this post with my bushy and shaggy hair (sobbing quietly). You might think I'm taking my hair too serious because I look okay (everybody said the same thing to me) but I usually trim my hair once in every 2-3 months. For my fringe, I trim it every month to keep its cute length (but it's totally out of shape now). I must find a new reliable hair salon (either Korea or Japan salon) to save my life. I look like SHIT, that's the only sentence to describe my appearance now.

Phewww~~ I feel much more relief now. Despite my awful hair, everything is cheerful all these while. Summer is here people! And everyone step out from their house and get under the sun.

The weather is too great for cam-whoring! 22'C is just nice for any outdoor activity. And I lost the extra 3kg within 3 weeks. My weight back to normal now (giggling). That means I can start eating again! Hahaha~~


I made Chinese fried rice noodle for brunch. We also bring along some chocolate cookies and snacks.

Our picnic is not only for foods this time, we both have a greater mission.


My hubby needs to work a little. Geee, it's Saturday! Can you have a break?


What? I need to work on Cherry Berry too.


See, I'm working so hard on my drawing.

At this point, you might asking yourself where the hell is her shopping items in San Frans? I stay tuned for that, not for her stupid braggart about Cherry Berry. Just chilled, okay? Don't you notice I'm wearing new suit, new sun-glasses and new hat?

It's really a wonderful kick start on drawing.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #7

Friends, have you voted yet? I have an average 350 readers per day but the Nuffnang poll shows there's only 74 persons voted so far. I know some of you are mad, some of your are sad and some of you even think you deserve the souvenir more than those who shortlisted. I know you heart is broken, I'm sorry. But friends, I will never stop blogging as well as traveling, there are more to come I promised. Just chill and be active, ok?

I'm extremely happy! My San Frans posts is down to 7 now! Just can't wait to blog about my recent life (Wii, new hair, new skincare) and my next trip. However, it doesn't mean I'll take the entire SF posts lightly. This time you'll experience the genuine National Landmark of San Francisco.


Cable car. The most enjoyable and exciting way to travel.


Don't mention aboard if you never try cable car in San Frans.


A roller-coaster cable car ride along Nob Hill. You can either crammed into passengers compartment, or standing on the running board and hanging on, just like those in the picture.


I chose to sit simply because I'm lazy. Kekeke...


Besides, you can observe the gorgeous views of San Frans when on board.


Also, glimpse on those hilly roads.


Isn't it fun? A must try, people.

Despite the outrageous roller-coaster cable car ride, other public transports in San Frans are very unique indeed. I rode on buses and trains. It's very on time and convenient.


For instance, this is the F train I took from Union Square to Pier 39.

Errmm, unfortunately I do not have any others pictures regarding San Frans public transports. I'm sorry! I thought I have it. Never mind, we move forward to dinner.

What's for dinner? Guess please. At least entertain yourself a bit. I shall provide you some clues.

Jason and Marsha again! They still recommended this place and joined us although they are extremely sick of Asian cuisine. Hahaha...My bad, because I want to eat Chinese foods everyday.

Cutie Hazel joined us for dinner after her 80km bike. I'm serious!!! She biked for the whole day.

P/S: Honestly, I gained approximately 3kg weight after the SF trip. As you notice my face is more rounded. That's crazy!!! Now, Everyday I lock myself in the house with sealing tape on my mouth.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #6

Finally we are here at Pier 39, the major draw with millions of visitors a year. What makes Pier 39 an exhilarating place to visit? Tourists came here not only to admire the beautiful bay views, but for 600 stinky fellows. Yup, you hear me right!


Those stinky fellows, sea lions I mean, were arguing for the best spot to sunbathe.


They barked a lot and they smell funny too.


Pier 39 is a tourist complex as well.


I'm a big fans of Forest Gump. But the restaurant was renovating. ARGHHH...I want shrimps from Bubba Gump!


Sigh, never mind. Grab some souvenirs.


One of the best thing in San Francisco is FRESH fruits directly from farmer market!


Blame the wind, ignore my hair! Look at those FRESH cherries! I bought a bag :)

Well, Jason and Marshall wanted to meet us for dinner! They are going to make us an authentic Jamaican foods called Jerk Chicken. Stop making fun of it! You'll blow away by Jason and Marsha cooking skills if you ever get a chance to bite on it! For your extra information, they are from Jamaica (obviously)!


Culture exchange. I bought them custard tarts. And they loving it!


The appetizer, Jamaican crackers with Solomon Gundy. The crackers are utterly delicious together with the smoke herring paste! It was my first time eating Jamaican foods and I'm in love with it. As a result, I finished up all the crackers.


Jerk Chicken for smart people. Through this photo, I guess you can see those spices and herbs mix well with the chicken. The meat absorbed all the flavors and that made it tasted extremely flavorful! Not an exaggeration, serious talk here.

I'm utterly broke now but I want to learn something new. Drawing offers greatest pleasure with lowest cost.


2) How do you end up drawing Cherry Berry?

I supposed to kick start from basic which is drawing still objects (start yawning). In order to save myself from boredom, I start sketching cute icons from my favorite art book.


Yup, that's the book.


3) Bev, please completely answer the Question No.2.

Ohhh, I'm sorry. Cherry Berry's head was a helmet at first. For some unknown reasons, it transformed from helmet to a human head.


4) Do you think you are copying Stickgal?

Everything has been done. I bet everyone draw stick figure before. At this point, I'm not so satisfy with Cherry Berry's body because it looks like Stickgal. Stickgal is cute and I'm a fans of it. But I'll work hard on Cherry Berry's originally.


5) Many said Cherry Berry reflects your inner character, what would you say?

That's so true. I'm glad they notices that.


6) Lastly, why do you named Cherry Berry in that way?

Cherry Berry name is just a spur-of-the-moment decision. It's cherries season now and I was eating cherries while drawing. Also, I love cherries a lot.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #4 & #5

From the title (I make it 2 in 1) I bet you notice I'm quite sick of posting my trip history. I wanna finish all the San Francisco blog posts as soon as possible!

Here we go~~ San Frans Most Wanted #4. We are going to the shopping district, Union Square this time. However, you won't be able to view what I've bought in this post. You know me, I love to save the best for last.

Levi's jeans is very affordable in US. But it's hard to get one I like.


I didn't see any MNG stores in New York but in San Frans!

We ordered more than above. So sorry again, I only have these with me. I hesitate to stop everyone from dinning and snap pictures of every dishes. Anyway, those foods just taste alright. Nothing to wow about.


Ryan and Sarah canceled their concert plan to join us! Appreciated, you guys are really nice. Dustin, thanks for coming too. But the took off early. Why? simply because they are not on vacation. They need to work on the following day. By the way, do you notice a familiar face in this picture? Yes, Hazel met us again in San Frans.

Later on, Hazel join us to party! Ready for the San Frans Most Wanted #5, Harry Denton's Starlight Room. This 1930's style glamorous nightclub located at the 21st floor of Sir Francis Drake Hotel (the hotel I stayed).


I know I wear the same dress (my birthday dress) to party again. So what! I was in San Frans, no one will recognize me.


For some reason, it was damn crowed. Maybe they knew I will b there. Hehehe...

I was totally out of control when Hazel introduced her friend to me.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #3

If you break the rule, you'll go to prison.
If you break the prison rule, you will go to Alcatraz.

Welcome to Alcatraz, buddies. Watch your step, you are about to explore the island's mysteries and experience the history layers of the past that more than 100 years ago.

The only way to step ashore this abandoned cell-blocks(prison) is via Alcatraz Cruise from Pier 33.


Ignore my smile. Keep flowing with the mysterious feel.

Alcatraz has more to offer than a island.


Alcatraz was once America's most forbidding federal penitentiary from 1934 to 1963.


Warden's House. The house was destroyed by fire in 1970.

Take a deep breath! The tour of the symbol of America's dark side, Alcatraz prison begins here.


This is where they get their uniform when inmates first arrived this island .


Audio tour is the best way to discover Alcatraz's true stories.


They called the cellhouse aisle as Broadway.


Overlook at a general population prison cell.


If inmates break Alcatraz's prison rule, they'll be isolated in this cell without sunlight for 2 weeks. They only allow to get out of the cell once a week for bathing.


If they behave and portrait good attitudes, inmates are allowed to practice their hobbies or even decorate their cell.


This cellhouse had a capacity for approximately 336 prisoner at one time.

Did anyone escape from Federal Penitentiary? I have the same question too during the tour! But the answer is MAYBE. In all 39 prisoners attempted it, 27 were caught; 7 were killed, and five have never been found but assumed drowned.



The most remarkable and creative escape attempt was done in June 11, 1962. Three inmates escape from their cell through enlarged air vents. Dummy heads were left in their bed. They successfully left the island and were never seen again.

I hate boring facts and histories, but I love stories, especially true one. If you share the same interest with me, Alcatraz is your place!


"The whole journey makes me appreciate freedom a lot. No one have the right to take away your freedom unless you take away others right." He said this to me after the tour.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #2

Although my wrists, my fingers and my arms are painful tightening, I still insist to blog! Don't worry, I will never stop blogging even though my time is fully occupy by Wii and Super Mario Galaxy, the latest version of Super Mario. My hubby and I even celebrated Dumpling Festival with Super Mario. Seriously.

Eat as much as I can, that's my principle while traveling to San Frans. They have really yummy and authentic foods in San Frans Chinatown. It's a prescription for homesick!

Ok, confession period. I ate a lot, I mean, uncontrollably for the 10 consecutive days. As you notice, my face is chubby, my arms are flabby, and my tummy gets rather plump since you last saw me (sobbing).

But I wasn't care!! Eat first, diet later!


Dim Sum! You're right, I don't know how to use chopsticks!


So, this is the better example of using chopsticks.

San Frans Most Wanted Countdown #1

Apa khabar kawan-kawan sekalian? Take me seriously every time when I tell you I miss Malaysia. I meant it!

For those who strongly addicted to Beverly's Secret, I know you guys log on my site every morning with your breakfast and coffee. Can I join you? Let's have breakfast together! I mean, you have yours and I have mine.

Jason took a day off to be our tour guide, he brought us to a famous restaurant called Mama's. This place is super popular and sometimes you have to queue up to an hour.


Not so bad, we only waited about 40 minutes.


Crowed! Everyone is craving on Mama's.

Both of these look alike to me, I can't differentiate "Today's Special" and "Northern Italian". Damn it, whatever. Both of these Omelette might looked ordinary to you BUT the tasted are far beyond words. Imagine egg wraps with Pancetta, mushroom, basil,tomato, and melting garlic jack cheese. Every bite is a blissful experience.

Ahhmmm...

Back to our business, 10 things you must do in San Francisco. Golden Gate Bridge ranks on the top of my list. What can beat the ultimate symbol of San Frans? This iconic bridge is as tall as 65-story buildings and it was once the world's longest and tallest suspension.

Also, Weather in San Francisco is super unpredictable! Foggy, windy, sunny, gloomy, chilly can all happen in an hour or maybe less than that. The saddest thing is I forgot to bring along my winter coat! As a result, I have to wear the same bloody sweater for this whole trip. DAMN...

To be frankly, I'm so sick of blogging about my San Frans trip. Loads of pictures to choose and edit!!! I'm going crazy. You better appreciate it because I'm doing that plainly for you.

In order to let you keep track with my recent status, I decided to make a short update. Alright, there are few things that happened in this week.

1) Bought a 46" LCD screen TV.

2) Get a Wii on this weekends (Don't jealous, bro)!

3) Cleaned up the house all by myself (My long and lovely finger nails all gone).

4) Practicing new diet strategy. No fast food for a month (Biggest challenge ever).

5) School will start on 23th of June.

6) Confirmed my next July trip (Be patient! You'll soon figure out).

7) Will attend theater performance tomorrow evening (6th of June).


Already, that's all for now. Gonna continue with my photo editing.

His birthday bash

You don't have to wish him Happy Birthday anymore, the celebration is over more than a decade. This entry just to serve as a platform to frame all the sweet memories we spent with friends. He wanted a simple celebration with close friends, so we invited close friends for a birthday dinner at R&G Lounge. In fact, they have no idea that day was his birthday.


Good quality foods are the most essential part of all. We chose the same restaurant as Jackie Chan did!


His best pals in college, Dustin and Gisele.


His best mate ever, the one and only Jason and his wife, Marsha.

San Frans is famous of SEAFOODS! You can't miss that!

I'm so sorry, I was too craving until forgot to take pictures for all the delicious dishes. My bad. Errmmm...I'll try my best to recall.

What's a birthday bash without drinks and party? Nothing. The night was still young, Gisele suggested us a nice place for karaoke. You have to pay attention, not everything in US is better. Seriously. At least not the karaoke. However, who cares about karaoke? It was a friends reunion as well.

Do not expect me to sing or duet with my hubby! It's totally different with Redbox, Greenbox and New Way. If you want to sing, you have to sing for the whole crowd in the lounge.


It's just too odd to sing in front of strangers although it wasn't crowded.

Then, what else can I do?


Pool people, POOL. However, I'm not pro at all.


My hubby was busy coaching me!


They joined us for a match too!

It was a great day and I bet all of us had unspoken fun! Thanks again for giving us such a happy and lovely moment. We'll miss you all. In fact, we are missing you guys.

First Chinese cuisine

There are thousand things you must experience in San Francisco but the first thing I do is CHECK IN. Guess everyone will agree with me. This time we booked a room at a luxurious hotel called Sir Francis Drake which is located in the hub of Union Square (shopping district). On top of that, we get a fantastic discount from our friend, we paid US$ 57 per night instead of the normal rate US$ 350. Hahaha... Nothing can beat that, it was the best deal ever!

Most of the foods tasted good except the rice noodle. I know, I know, it is a bit pricey and overrated. What to do? I still need to eat. Honestly, one of my mission in San Frans is to eat as much as I can. Hahaha...More to come, be ready friends.
