No, you don't have to fly all the way to Egypt to glimpse into this ancient Egyptian pharaoh--King Tutankhamun's tomb, you can now discover more than 100 striking objects spanning 2,000 years of ancient Egyptian history in Denver Art Museum.

If you're a Colorado resident and planning to invite your significant half or a friend for this Egyptian experience, I'd highly recommend the membership program as it gives you two complimentary King Tut exhibition tickets that includes audio tour. And you get free admission for the general exhibition in Denver Art Museum for a year, plus tons of fringe benefits too.

** Chean & I signed up for the Dual program.

So sorry, that's all I can show you because photography is not allowed inside the exhibition. You really really really really need to check this out yourself if you happen to visit Denver before the exhibition ends on Jan 9, 2011 because this may be the last time a King Tut exhibition makes it to the U.S. (news via The Salt Lake Tribune).

Pic #11 The one of many souvenirs I bought after the 90 minutes visit to the exhibition. The 18k gold platted Ankh (☥) earrings, a widely used Egyptian symbol that is known as key of life are a souvenir I got for my sis. Baby sis, wish you super duper good luck for your STPM exam ✌ ✌ ✌

W.A.I.T!!!

Don't be upset if you can't make it to the King Tut exhibition in Denver! Thanks to the technology and thanks to National Geography, you can now discover the story and the mystery of King Tut: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs with a single click. It's an interesting & fascinating documentary that worth watching.

Battling Winter

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Fuyoh! I was nervous to hell because tweeting something like this is extremely dangerous and risky:

"Would anyone be interested in reading a short BS update about my latest skincare products? 10 votes and I'll show you right away :D"

I mean it's just like digging a gigantic hole for myself to hide at any given moment. Seriously. It'll be real embarrassing if no one bother to vote. But thank god I have awesome readers like you all ❤❤

So here you go...

I've been using Dior skincare products since 3 months ago and I'm loving every single drop of it and I'm still experiencing the awesome benefits from the pure plant extracts!

BW_7
It keeps my face moisturized all night long and into the next day. A beautiful day always begins with beautiful skin, gals, I bet you can never argue that.

BW_5
All photos were taken this morning with no makeup, completely nude face and of course, tousled hair >.<

BW_6
L.U.R.V.E the toner the best! It is super refreshing and makes my skin smoother, tighter and cleaner. Absolutely worth the splurge! (see, only half bottle left :p)

Boulder is super duper dry, but hey, look at me! See the natural glow on my face? The products have worked reasonably well in hydrating my skin, especially my nose and cheeks areas!

(That's Miyaki's drinking bowl, napping bed and my weighing scale behind. And yup, I sometimes have a single eyelid on one and a double on the other, god knows why. But I'm just a normal person, I can definitely live with my imperfection)

BW_8
Nah, take a closer look ❤❤

Hope this give you an idea of what to buy on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year in the U.S.! Have a beautiful day and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

p/s: A sincere advice to all readers outside of America. Please note that it's winter here and the weather in Boulder is super dry. Thus the Dior Hydra Life series work just fine to me. However, I wouldn't recommend Dior Hydra Life day & night cream if you're living in super humid countries like Malaysia unless you have extremely super duper dry skin. They might be too rich and too greasy, don't say I never advise k ;)

p/p/s: Miyaki is feeling a lot better! Thanks for all the concerns and thanks for holding him in your prayers~~

Love,
Bev

Lucky Charms

Sunday, November 21, 2010

There are many stupid tales and vapid acts that I still believe in and still carry them with me after high school. Out of so many stupidities of my vain beliefs, there's this one later given the most fabulous name by a high-end jewelry company and very shortly, the collection conquered every girls' dreams and created a multimillion-dollar business opportunity in the jewelry industry. The company named its collection as Tiffany Charms and I named mine as Lucky Charms.

I'm not sure about you, but for me, when someone presents you a piece of jewelry (either very expensive or plain thoughtful), the present giver has engraved his/her love in that tiny metal piece and you both are writing the history, together and forever. You can't object this I guess, metal last longer than us; thus, my story continues even after I left this world and rejoice in heaven.

So this is how I'd like to start telling my story about these charms (out of many)...

#1 Chean surprised me with a FedEx parcel filled with a blue box on our 5th anniversary.

I was still studying in University Putra Malaysia and yup, we were still having long distance relationship and we only met once in a year. The way this love pendant hanging on the super thin necklace represents our 3 years unbearable long distance relationship in that time, I think. Our love, a huge & heavy one, needs strength from both side to survive, and then secure with trust. It's my favorite out of so many favorites.

#2 Received this as the 6th anniversary gift.

Love Locket Pendant was something I wanted to own that time. Again, stupid thought hit me. I thought my daughter would love to wear this on her neck and proudly show her grandchildren that's her daddy & mummy and they were very very much in love.

#3 Present from my future mother-in-law.

The mosaiced area is engraved with my lucky numbers and those numbers are the result of Zhi3 Wei1 Dou3 Shu4 (紫微斗数) calculation, an ancient fortune reading based on Chinese astronomical observations. My future mother-in-law said it will bring us fortune, luck and prosperity. Well, you may say this is a complete superstitious crap but love is not superstitious and this pendant does bring my loads of luck, at least I have the best future mother-in-law.

Last but definitely not least, I would say the one last charm that's always promise me good fortune and make me a lucky person on earth is T.H.I.S...

#4 My positivity!!! Haha...

Never forget you are always your own lucky charm, too!

Very Random

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

I still haven't found the missing Canon G11 ( *`ω´) Maybe it's in the car, maybe it's hiding underneath my day bed, maybe it's still lying on the couch, or maybe it's the fact that I haven't really put any effort into finding it. I just let it be; I'm sure it'll pop up somewhere someday ♪(´ε` )

However, as a dedicated part-time blogger, I will not allow my blog to be filled with spider nest unless with good purposes like awesome vacation, unbearable moody moments or any unforeseen issues (in my own definition, of course). For example, I would say laziness is one of the unforeseen issues because you never knew when will it hit you, see. But that's not the case here.

I really wanted to blog, so I dug out a whole lot of random pics which you have never seen before. Watch out, they are extremely random.
