Merry Merried Christmas

24/12/07
It’s Christmas eve! What my hubby and I want to do is celebrating this holly jolly day! We plan so well and pray for things to run smoothly. As you know, Portland rains 24/7. But the forecast stated today will be a sunny day. Awesome weather! Our plan is very simple, shop from sunrise to sunset, then have a romantic candle light dinner at a grill restaurant.

morning
Therefore, we wake up at 7am and start driving at 8.30am to get my Christmas presents(mark this, it’s plural).

sleepy
I’m sleepwalking, all the way to the company stores.

It takes 40 minutes drive and finally we reach our destination!
I kind of disappointed because I can’t find most of the brand I love there. Sigh…but there are still some stores I prefer for instance Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, Polo Ralph Lauren, Nine West and cosmetic store.

A thousand apologizes, friends. I don’t really have time to snap photos while I was shopping. Hehe…I find something special for you somehow!
See this!!

ARGH, I already gain 3 pounds. It’s really worth though.

After shopping for almost 6 hours, I can’t feel my legs anymore. I guess I’m done! And it is time for me to get prepare for dinner. No worries, as I promised, I’ll show you my Christmas presents even though I’m running out of time.

That's what i've got.
Ohh, I won’t bring along camera on my special and intimate occasion! It’s going to be a very special moment for us and I don’t want to spoil it with the camera flashlight. I can only show you the restaurant I’m about to go. So, sorry again.

All right, got to run, chao~~

25/12/07
It’s Christmas. After spending quality time together on Christmas Eve, I’m melt. Kekeke…I decided to make my hubby a sweet breakfast on bed. Then, I get up and walk out to the living room silently. Oh gosh!! Darling, look out the window. What a lovely Christmas day! I quickly pull up the curtains and snap a picture.

snow
Wow~~ Can you see that? It’s snowing.
Hmm…I know you can’t see the snow clearly. I have to do something for you. Let’s see how to deal with this.

Is this looks clearer? Hooray!! You can see snows somewhat like me. But, you won't be seeing me face cause i look awful! hehe~~

It's fun to play with the snowflakes; I feel it fall onto my skin and melt away. What a White Christmas! Unfortunately, we can’t go anyway today because roads are slippery and it’s dangerous to drive. I’m blessed and contented to enjoy this wonderful moment with my beloved one, even just at home.

Yummy Yum Yum

Hola!! Como está? (Hello, how are you?)
Welcome back my dear friend! It’s yummy time!
Although this is my third time in States, I seldom try new cuisine here. Therefore, I’m going to challenge myself by trying some Mexican foods nearby my hubby’s office this time. Despite Taco Bell, this is my first time dining in Mexican restaurant. Why I choose this restaurant? Firstly I impressed by its name, Cha Cha Cha, then by its foods.

foods
Look…huge portion with low price! I’m gonna introduce these to you one by one. I ordered a sausage taco, it’s like the Chinese popiah but it is unwrap. You have to fold it and open your mouth as big as you can when you eat this because the meat drops out easily. Flautitas are similar to Chinese deep fried spring rolls. The wrapping skins were very crunchy and the ground chicken was very juicy indeed. Last but not least, it was my favorite one, nachos with shrimp salsa. Nachos were those snacks spreading around the plate. And salsa sauce was make of fresh tomatoes, onions and veges. Just dip the nachos with it and it tastes heavenly! Ahh…I’m a snack monster and I cry for this! Yummy~~

me
In addition, the waiter was very friendly, he said “Arigato” to us when we were about to leave, wakaka. Don’t blame me for ordering too little, I wish I could eat everything. No worries, there’s always tomorrow. Since Cha Cha Cha left me a great experience and I assure you, I will try more Mexican dishes soon.

darling
Ok, darling, stop eating! This section is just ended. We are moving onto Malaysia cuisine.

Here we go, the one and only Malaysia restaurant in Portland. Sigh…this is the only place we can go when we are missing Malaysia, but their foods are tasty though (hmm, just don’t compare, we all know Malaysia got the best foods).
msia

I really like this restaurant, nice decoration that give you a touch of Malaysia culture. We felt like eating in atap house. And also some posters that we all familiar with, like Langkawi, Kelantan and Sarawak, these are great destinations in Malaysia. Ohh, ya, and our buah-buahan tempatan (local fruits) poster. The only thing I dislike is the price! It costs too high. Ok, let’s guess how much does a roti canai cost?

msiadarling
USD 3.25, that’s mean RM 11 for this appetizer! We can get this at RM1 or even less than that in Malaysia. All right, now guess the price for Char Kuey Teow and hot pot Curry Fish Head.

msiame
Damn it! I was reluctant to smile. Char Kuey Teow costs USD 8.95 (RM30) and that bloody fish head costs USD 18.95 (RM 63). When we added up everything including tips, it was up to USD 38++. The foods are yummy but the price sucks! No choice, this restaurant is monopoly in Portland.

ARGH…I want to open another Malaysia restaurant also! Or maybe visit Mexican restaurant instead of this!

Call it a day

Friday, December 21, 2007

What am I doing when my hubby go to work? This question is the most frequently one I heard from my friends. Well, I’m bore to death on weekdays. Not much to do except watching TV, cleaning and cooking. Huh? Study? Come on, don’t spoil my holiday’s mood. But, Oh!! What a pack schedule on every weekend! However, I kind of enjoy it though. It’s fun to hang out all day long, drive along the road to tour around. Searching for new places, new faces, new life…

house
Mmm…fresh air, cloudless day, relax and hassle free.

Without more ado, I started my driving lesson.
getting into car
Hehe…It’s left-hand drive. Nervous? Hmm, I might agree a little bit but I guess my hubby is much more nervous than me. Haha…we just bought this car 2 weeks ago, although it’s a used car but still our first car in State. The car functions well, everything in tiptop condition and equip enough for me.

My hubby bought me a *GPS too, just to make sure I won’t get lost.
gps
*GPS is satellite-based navigation system that not only provides maps in State but Canada and Europe. The one we have comes with mp3 feature and more. It speaks to give signals and directions. Besides, it also able to browse any stores locations. If you drive into the wrong way, it is still able to bring you to your destination by detecting another new directions. If you still in the clouds, click here for further explanation.

Although I feel secure with the GPS (at least I know the way home), left-hand drive still stumped me. I was so confuse and feel dizzy too. Argh…I kept reminding myself to keep the right lane till I almost hit the cars that parked aside. Don’t really know how to estimate the distance to keep in the right lane. Eventually, my driving lesson last about 15 minutes only (pheww). Never mind, let’s do it on another day.

What’s more to do then? Searching for yummy brunch. My friend recommended this place to me; she said I would forget about Dunkin Donuts once I’ve tried this. Since she is coming to State on January, I tried it on hers behalf (Hazel, you must read this!!).

krispycreme2
Yeah!! Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!

Generally, it’s similar to Dunkin’ Donuts but the doughnuts are much more crispy (of course, if not they won’t named it Krispy Kreme). But I am serious, the doughnuts are crispy yet soft on every bites. Ermm, what’s more? I really don’t know how to elaborate, guess my pictures speak better.
krispycream
Wow~~ so many choices!! I’m starving!!

doughnut2
These are what we ordered. I choose a sprinkle and raspberry doughnut. The rest of are belong to my hubby.

doughnut1
Just can’t wait any longer. Arrrr…

doughnut4
mmm..mm..so soft and puffy…

doughnut5
Darling, stop snapping!! I want to eat!!

doughnut3
mmm…mm…I really don’t know what to say। Can you see the creamy raspberry sliding out? Ohh~~ how blissful I am। Since I am not a sweet tooth, not more than two for me. Otherwise it will taste too sweet. Krispy Kreme, I will be back!

After eating, shopping is always the best exercise. Hey, how could I call it a day without shopping? Hehe…(grin softly)
nikestore

My hubby brought me to Nike employee store. A-hem, he is not working with Nike but his employer has a great rapport with Nike. They did advertising for Nike over all these years. So, this is why I got to chance to shop till I drop (this time don’t really drop cause I’m not so into sport wear and the store was very crowded). You won’t believe it, everything is 50% cheaper than retail store. EVERYTHING!! Can’t wait to check my shopping bag? Here is it.
nikeshirt
Pink velvet tracksuit for myself. Green Tee for my bro and the sky blue for my cute sister.

I already told you, hold your jaw now! These are too cheap right? Moreover, these are not factory outlet stuffs; they are exactly what you see in normal retail stores in the mall. My hubby bought himself 2 shirts too.

Yeah!! Now only I call it a day~~

It’s show time

Wednesday, December 19, 2007

As an ex-broadcaster student and super duper ex-performer, I’m very crazy over movies, dramas and TV shows. All sort of performances, Broadway or theater, they are my all time favorite. After pressing remote control for more than 100 times in State, I’ve found my fave TV shows here! Hooray~~

Tila tequila – A shot at love
This reality show showed on MTV channel in State. The storyline is about a 26 years old bisexual Vietnamese girl (I thought she is Japanese) searching for her true love. She invited 16 males and females to stay in her house and these guests were going to give out everything to win her heart. But, only one of them will have a shot at love with her, Tila.

tila tequila
Impossible? Unbelievable? But it so true!! She has angel smile and devil body. Charming, sexy, gorgeous, petite but bisexual. Hard to accept, isn’t it? I was shocked as you as well when I realize the whole scenario. Although I’m not able to follow this show from day one, I’m still able to catch several episodes and the finale. In the last episode, there’s only one boy and one girl left.

bobby&dani
Before telling you the outcome, I must say the finale was like a roller coaster to me.
Ok, during the show, I feel that Dani is the best candidate for Tila. Yup, I did. Because she loves Tila more than herself. And love is for love sake, right? It doesn’t matter with a guy or girl. But at the same time, I do agree homosexual is immoral and everyone should get rid of it. Argh, that’s the power of media! What a great dilemma! Bobby? Ohh, he is good, he is shy, cute, genuine but just another typical guy for me. One must not deny, he loves Tila too (but not as much as Dani).

Eventually, Tila picked to have a shot at love with Bobby. Hmm…I’m speechless. Anway, it’s just an entertainment show.

The Girl Next Door
I love it since I was in NY last year. This show is all about Hugh Hefner and his 3 lovely housemates, which are Holly, Bridget and Kendra. They practice luxurious lifestyle, high scales status and of course intimate love (ermm, I doubt of it actually).

the girl next door
Among 3 of them, I like Holly the most although she is the eldest. For me, she is elegant, feminine and classic. More importantly, she loves Hugh Hefner a lot. As for Bridget, she is a young, sweet and pinky too. Haha…she supposes to be my favorite since I’m a pink slave. However, she is a little chubby and too baby for me. And, Kendra is very energetic, cool and sporty. Therefore, she is out too. Three of them have different characteristic and lifestyle but sharing a same man.(Opps, 3 of them have very hot body too!)

Who is Hugh Hefner? I’m sorry, I miss him out. Ok, you might not know his name, but I’m sure you know his magazine very well and some of you even have its collection. He is the founder of Playboy magazine, an extremely loaded 80 years old granddaddy.
the girl next door
the girl next door
Haha~~ Guys, don’t be mad! This is the reality. Money is not the root of evil sometimes. Again, my advice to you is don’t take it too heavy; it’s just another entertainment show.

Wants more sexy pictures? Oh gosh, you can always google them! Basically, I don’t allow 18SX photos appear on my blog except my own one (don’t expect either, I have none).

Have you heard of Kripsy Kreme? Wondering what is that? Stay tuned and figure it out on this Sat (22/12).

Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas to you, you and you again!!
selfportrait

Christmas is full of fairytales, wonders and romances. It not a place or atmosphere that matters, it’s the person who be with you. I love Christmas ever since I was a kid. Singing songs in the church, wrapping up presents at home, having fun with Christmas tree and its lighting. When I grew up, I love Christmas even more.

As you know, I was having a long distance with my hubby about 4 years. We only meet during Christmas since he was busy with his job and I was busy with my study too. Christmas is equivalent to holidays, for those westerners and us. So, this is the third time for me, celebrating “white” Christmas abroad. Hehe~~ (wicked smile)

I attempted to decorate my house but failed to do so. ARGH…lack of time, experience and money. It’s okay if I don’t do so because the whole surrounding areas still remind me that Christmas is just around the corner. The houses, the roads, the buildings are all having neon disease.

on the street
Now you know what neon disease is. The streets are so eye-catching!

And when I was about to do laundry, I noticed this at my house backyard.
backyard deco
That’s why I could never forget Christmas is on its way.

And, while I was paying a visit to my hubby’s office
x'mas tree
Again!! What a huge Christmas tree, how cool! Everyway you go, everything you see are Santa’s signals, telling you he is coming to town.

Except my hubby, he is still in his Halloween fantasy.

Darling, Santa will hate you!!

Welcome to My Parlor

Thursday, December 13, 2007

Hello, America!! So, here I am…
After settled down everything, the first task for me is to set up my own corner in a man’s house. I just can’t stand to live in a masculine interior sometimes (hehe...it’s just an excuse for me to indulgence myself).

Anyway, who cares?

Since I’m a pink slave like many other girls out there, I choose to create a dreamy pinky corner. What? Sound childish? Be patient, let me finish first. I know I am too old for it, therefore I don’t want to make it too girlie either, a soft and light pink color just fits the best. Well, it takes me about 2 weeks to get all the furniture and decorations done. Finally, everything pays off and this is how my dreamy corner looks like:

my pinky corner

my pinky corner

I bought all the furniture from Ikea because they offered reasonable price and my favorite pink shade. Dressing table, mirror, study table, chair and some accessories. Now I just can’t resist to dress up, study or even day dreaming at this corner!!!

Opps*** Do you notice the wallpaper? It’s exclusively designed by Undoboy. Doesn’t it look sweet and cute? I love customizing it by my own creativity. Those graphics and icons certainly give a very unique twist to the dull wall. I’m sure you like it a lot too.

Let's take a close up view:
undoboy wallpaper

Speaking of my dreamy pinky corner, I must not forget to thank Juicy Couture (one of my favorite brand) for its inspiration. Their stuffs are really juicy and the packaging is too yummy. Every time I walk by the Juicy counter, those stuffs seem twinkling at me and beg me to bring them home. ARGH…

i like juicy couture!!

I’m spoil…RM 62 for a panty! This is the most expensive one among my panty collection. The fragrance? The price for the fragrance is ok, just like other branded perfume. But the bottle is so special, and it’s so antique. Love it so much.

What else in my dressing room?
Grey is one of the famous colors during winter season. It goes well with black and white and easy to match with other color as well. I have been hunting for a grey knit dress since last year. God finally hear my prayer and I’ve found one at Forever 21.

Forever 21 always provide great deals with low price. At least it is for me, since I’m still unemployed. By the way, they actually changed their logo to Forever XXI. But everything remains the same.

Forever 21

The dress cost me USD 27.80 and the crop jacket is USD 13.80. I know I know, it’s cheaper than Forever 21 in Malaysia!! And these are the new release too.

this is ME **

Like it? or like me better? haha...

Liking it my way

~~Chocolatier Fever ~~

Why must people buy chocolate as souvenirs when they return from oversea? Yeah, you got it! It’s cheaper. Despite the price, another reason would be its variety and taste. Somehow, the reason for me to crazy about chocolate only happens once in a month, which is during my menstrual periods. Haha… I quit chocolate for sometimes due to diet.
But my efforts down to the drain in one day!!

“Would you like to try some of our mocha chocolate?” A sales person approached me while I was shopping in a mall. Hmm, I was thinking, Mocha chocolate? It’s a bittersweet one, how nice. So, I grabbed one and put into my mouth. Oh gosh, it taste so good! The chocolate’s texture was so crunchy yet smooth. It just melts in my mouth without biting. Eventually, I bought a small box from her.

wat's inside?

yummy!!

Do you know about this brand? I really don’t know its existence and never try one. Anyway, the packaging looks sweet. Once I reached home, I opened it and start eating!! One, two, tree, four…mmm…five still going…ssiixxx? ARGH!! It’s slightly too sweet for me to continue. I was so frustrated, I felt like I can finish the whole box at once. Hmm…I’ve learned something new that day, next time I will not just try one!! I will try some, since the sale person asked me to do so at the very beginning!!!

~~Hello? Kitty?~~

Bish!!! A punch for myself. I know I hate it so much during high school but so what?
People changed when time changed. I start liking this cute devil on last Christmas after visiting a Japanese Cartoons store in New York.

The first kitty was a gift from my hubby. He pretended to complain about my childishness every time I ask him to buy me one. He lied to me he can’t stand for my own stupid thought and I can only buy a small kitty key chain instead of soft toy. Then, the day before I departed from NY to M’sia, he was hugging a kitty soft toy standing in front of me. What a sweet surprise!! From that moment on, I fall for my hubby once again and of course, Hello Kitty too.

So, this is me. I like Hello Kitty, not only that, I love everything about it too.
