Christmas Edition

This is just a quick summary of the Laws' Christmas celebration; nothing special but fond memories of BB's first Christmas...


#1 The Christmas tree ornament. Got this one many many years ago (7 years? Maybe) when Chean & I visited Portland from New York for the 1st time.

#5 Chean doesn't seem to understand why do we need a peacock sitting on the Christmas tree... Hmm... I just happen to like peacock, an auspicious symbol of good fortune and prosperity.


#6 Needless to say, the aeroplane represents our long distance relationship ;)


#7 Chloe's precious hand print at 6m/o, we also made her foot print.


#8 I know you'll ask, it's Pearhead Babyprint Holiday Ornament from Amazon.com. Super easy to make ;)


#9 Miyaki, our baby that lives forever in memory. Not a day goes by that we don't miss you... What Christmas looks like in doggie heaven? (Thank you Marsha for finding us this loving ornament)


#10 Never thought a simple Christmas tree could add so much warmth to the house, why don't we do that earlier? @.@

#12 Just when we thought we're not going to have a white Christmas, Baby Chloe woke up to a snowy morning.


#13 Unwrapping her pressies~~ Thank you Auntie Yin for the Elks & Angels Cuddle Bear! BB loves its soft fur~~


#14 Manhattan Toy Baby Stella, an Asian doll. How thoughtful! Thank you Auntie Marsha!


#15 Nope, she's not into the Burberry dress I bought her; it turned out that BB likes plastic bag more than anything (=.=)lll


#16 Still prefer the plastic bag... By the way, I'll never ever ordered Burberry children apparel from Neiman Marcus again. Lesson learned. Purchased 4 items (size ranges from 12 months til 24 months) and none of them comes with decent packaging. I ended up placing them in a cheap Gymboree gift box, S.I.G.H.

#17 "Tory Burch wallet? I like my plastic bag better!" And there she goes, spending the rest of afternoon playing with the plastic bag. Under my supervision of course...

Speaking of Children Books...

#1 Just got back from public library with Chloe Bao Bao. Picked some children books and thought you might want an exclusive sneak peek as some of them aren't the super popular or award-winning children books, but that do not make them any "inferior" than the well-known ones; in fact, they're pretty good.

#13 Meanwhile, some mamas requested pictures of the Investikit that I blogged early on. As always, your request is granted! Here's what Alphabet Investikit looks like. It comes with an instruction sheet as a guide, books that are relevant to the theme, and some tools for hands-on learning: Chunky puzzle, flash cards, toys, CDs and etc.

Beyond Random

Ahemmm... Feel like blogging but dunno what else to write besides vanity & baby. Hence, I do a little treasure hunting around the house to search for tiny little things that are worth sharing. Anyway, this is a super unorganized post, read at your own risk k.


#1 New Faux Shearling Wedge Boots from F21! Just arrived today and OMG, I'm so in love with them, especially the rich brown color and the faux leather texture.


#2 The quality exceeded my expectations and they're currently on sale for just $24.36, priced at $34.80 before.


#3 True to size and they make my calves look skinny~~ Ok, this pic doesn't do them justice :p


#4 Conair YOU Crimp or Straight Styler. My latest obsession and my secret tool for hair valumization, by using the crimp plates of course :p


#5 Loan these from Boulder Public Library; they actually belong to a shape-learning kit. The kit, which is called Investikit, comes with tools & books that helps encourage early literacy & promote good reading habits among younger children. I have a total of 4 kits at my home now--Shape, Farm, Color, and Alphabet. Wee hee~~ Anticipating fun story time with BB during the holidays! Btw, the Color Zoo by Lois Elhert really is a cool book, check that out on youtube!


#6 Bought this cute coin purse from H&M and using it as a key chain ever since, but Chean looks down on me because of this :( He never understands.

#11 A Ralph Lauren sofa pillows I bought for BB's future playroom... Really like it... tapi...


#12 Unfortunately my cleaner damaged the zipper on the very next day, and they didn't even tell me that!!! Spotted the broken zipper only when I was tidying the couch (T____T) It has been a month now; they never mention a word about the pillow, not even an apology. Boo Hoo... I didn't and won't ask for reparation as I don't want to make a big fuss on this tiny thing, just hoping there's a way to fix the broken zipper. H.E.L.P! Any tailor here? Is this still fixable?


#13 You probably have seen this pic on my FB, hehe... Prepared a week supply of Butternut Squash + Pear + Applesauce baby food yesterday! Sooooo creamy & tasteful, can't help but nommed some for supper :p


#14 Update on the OneDollar EduCor. It's the bows theme! Some are 2D! Just wanted to let BB experience different textures and patterns; she loves running her tiny fingers over them and always works her way to untie the bows, hehe~~


#15 Lastly, that's how I look on the 21/12/12 (M'sia time). I'm planning to die in vain if it's the end of the world today but obviously the world is still spinning. Humans, we still have another 8748364723536725 wonderful years to celebrate!
