Anyway, the whole outfit was just one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions, but Chean insisted that I was inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow's new movie Country Strong. I don't even have a chance to peek on the trailer beforehand, but hell ya, I'm liking the country side of myself. And hell ya, I like Gwyneth Paltrow too! So be it.

Rock on, country gals~~

P/S: Has anyone watched the movie yet? Is it good? Worth watching?

Foothills Trail

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

It's Christmas that day yet we did nothing extraordinary for this festive season. We just kinda went with the flow due to two reasons: 1)I came to the U.S. visiting Chean & celebrating Christmas with him since 2005, guess we've celebrated enough Christmases, romantic, white or traditional, perhaps anything possible you could think of, 2)Our legs were totally burned after the 4-hour snowboarding lesson on Christmas eve.

You got it right, the latter one was the main reason. Even so, we insisted on taking the extreme route. We went H.I.K.I.N.G on Christmas!!!

Boulder Dushande Teahouse

Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Woo Hoo~~ Finally I manage to squeeze some time for myself during this busy but awesome holiday. Let me update you with some of the exciting events I experienced these few days. First of all, I started to learn snowboarding 4 days ago and now I'm so hooked! I'm so going to do it again tomorrow, and of course, you'll soon see me equip with snowboard gear & clothing on the next few post! E.X.C.I.T.E.D ❤❤

Second of all, Miyaki is feeling a lot better! That's the best Christmas gift I've ever had, thank god. He's very playful and energetic, just like the same old Miyaki in the good old days. But I'll have to minimize his activities for another 6 weeks, just to avoid & prevent any further injury. So ya, he's all good now :D

Ok, finished reporting. It's time to show you something equally exciting but with pictures! Are you ready for Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse?

BDT_20
Pic #1 I've been there several times, but never blogged about it. This pics was taken in the summer. G.O.S.H, I miss the greenery scenery.

Pic #2 The menu.

Perhaps you start asking yourself now, what's so exciting about this place? It just seems like another typical restaurant after all. Well, yes and no. It's a restaurant, correct, but it's not a typical restaurant you can find in everywhere. Because Dushanbe teahouse is a gift from Tajikistan. The construction of this magnificent architecture began in 1987 til 1990. And the Dushanbe Teahouse reflects Tajikistan's artistic tradition that dates back nearly 2,000 years.

While I'm waiting for my food, I shall show you around. The most amazing fact of the Teahouse (also the reason why I adore this place so much) is that all the decorative elements are handmade, including its hand-carved and hand-painted ceiling, tables, stools, columns, and exterior ceramic panels.

BDT_17
Pic #21 It tasted like a fusion of Chinese oriental chicken rice and Persian spices. And the dried apricot and dried cherries added a little tangy flavor to it. With all that together, it sounds Y.U.M!!!

And I finished the whole plate myself (loud & proud) although I'm not a big fans of rice~~

Yummy lunch with darling fiance, that sounds something like mmm...mmm... Well, don't get me wrong, that's just a blunt expression of satisfaction, and to translate that into a language that we all understand, it spells something like L.O.V.E!

Hope you enjoy this post and after reading this, you should know Boulder better now!

Bev

Picked this silky dress for CP+B holiday party few weeks ago. The color of this abstract-print dress is pretty eye-catching so I paired it with opaque tights and black ankle boots for a subtle look. I love its single short sleeve and peekaboo shoulder design to the max; it's a simple yet unique dress that every gals can take advantage of. You think?

Bev

It was snowing so beautifully that day. Chean & I woke up to a snowy white morning, we gave Miyaki a morning hug as usual, carried him up in our bed and then cuddled him on our laps before taking him out for a short walk and potty.

Miyaki loves to play in snow. He likes to chase the snowflakes, taste it; he loves to jump up and down, dig in the snow and come up covered in it. Everything just went normally fine that morning, it was beyond awesome in fact, until we came home from the afternoon-tea-plus-black-swan-movie date, things got really severe.

He can't walk, he can't even stand properly; his left rear leg suddenly became paralyzed and the pain he's experiencing was intolerable. We knew it right away, it's his back problem that caused that. Remember we rushed him to the emergency room one month ago? The history repeated itself once again but more furious this time. He didn't let us touch him, not even a gentle pet. He slowly arched his back up in pain, and then kept that posture for two hours. We fed him the medications which the vet gave us last time, but nothing can help relieve the intense pain at all.

Once again, we carried him to the emergency room around 3a.m that night. He cried so bad (so did I) but he seemed exciting to meet his old friend, Dr. Alison again in the clinic. After 20 mins of examination, the vet gave him an anti-inflammatory shot and 3 different medicines to get him through the weekend because Veterinary Neurological Specialist only available during weekday business hour.

Right now everything's pretty much under control, Miyaki seems responding well to the medications and we have made appointment with the Veterinary Neurological Center this week for MRI and further examination, we will see how thing goes from there. I hope he doesn't need to undergo any surgery at such young age.

It's still a blessing to have Miyaki even though he has been recently suspected of having intervertebral disc disease, which is very rare for a barely 2-year-old puppy; I'll stand by you baby, you are always the best doggie to me, ever.

Love you Miyaki! Get well soon k, promised ❤❤

Hugs & kisses,
Bev
