This is my only self portrait for this entire post.

Sorry buddies, I've been really busy recently. Tied up with my MBA application and test again. Besides spending quality time with my hubby, my free time is fully occupied after reactivated my Tamagotchi few days ago!

She grew up double-quick. Isn't it adorable?

I really wanna keep this for good. Just can't get my eyes out of her. It's quite tiring to discipline myself feeding, petting, caring, cheering and even cleaning the virtual shit from dawn to dusk!!! Thus, I'm a proud mama~~

Furthermore, I'm getting even busier due to my diligent attitude (What's so surprise? It's true!). Beverly learns baking! YEAH...Give me five! However, I don't like to spend my day in the kitchen and I barely know how to cook either. The thought was a whim while I was eating cheesecake at Starbucks with my hubby.

Darling: It's a formula. They have all the same recipes.

Me: I should start baking too. Actually I used to bake cupcakes during high school. My ex loved it a lot.

Darling: You never bake for me, not before, not now, I bet not in the future too. (He said tearfully. I saw twinkle in his eyes)

Me: Ok, I'm going to do it again. (I said it strong and firm without considering the fact that I burst my mum's oven)

Yup, US has Ikea too!! Basically, the Ikea store designs and products are similar except the price. I furnished my pink corner with Ikea furnitures too right after I moved to US. WHAT!!?? You don't know I have a pink corner in my house? Buddies, you missed out a lot. Okok, here is the LINK for that previous post again! No next time ahhh! You'll regret if you miss my pink parlor, I grand you.

I can't promise you when am I going to start baking although I have some of the tools with me now. Didn't I just tell you I'm busy? I need more time patently. Hehe...

Atonement

As I proclaimed earlier, my hubby and I had a great fight due to some personal issues. Although we are cool now, friends of mine are eager to know how the "war" ended? Here is the deal.

Rule #1
Once the cold war started, my advice for girls is, step back and relax. Although either one has to make an effort to put an end on it, it shouldn't be us (I mean girls, obviously). Unless you did something very erroneous, then you have no choice but let your guard down and apologize sincerely. But most of the time, guys have to bare the responsibilities and consequences of bringing girls down. Hehehe...Sorry guys!

Rule #2
Girls, make yourself as pity as a homeless kitty or puppy (choose only one character please). Remember to keep your pretty face also if possible. Guys have the great sympathy over helpless and splendid creatures and I assure you, he will offer you far more than you can imagine.

After applying these two theories in practical way for a day, I received a love note!! See, I tell you, it works~~

Oohhh... How sweet... It's my favorite Stephen Chow's movie, CJ7!!! It's a long waited film for me. How can you be mad at him anymore since he is putting such a grand effort to make things right? Totally forgive and forget.


I looked retarded no matter how hard I tried.


It seems like he booked the whole cinema for our date. Hey, do you know it's free seating in US cinemas?

I know it will be too late for me to review CJ7, but it just started to show in States, no harm to share. The movie was surprisingly touching and hilarious as always. The only downside is the whole movie were in Mandarin, voice over some more. How awful a Stephen Chow's movie is without Chow Sing Chee original and signature voice! I need a Cantonese version...

A date is imperfect without palatable foods. We went to a Chinese owned Korean restaurant for supper. Reasonable price yet mouthwatering.

Happy Moments

Growing up in Malaysia, a country that blessed with sunlight throughout all seasons all year makes me super wonder about the touch of four seasons. So, experiencing the changes of different seasons ranked at the top of my wish list. After praying and praying again (more to nagging in fact), finally my dream comes true. For your extra information, my wishes are more than ten tons. Hahaha… Anyway, this is certainly one of the HAPPY MOMENTS for me ever~~

Beverly is back!!

I do not travel to other places again for you information. What I mean is I bounced back from the emotional ride few days ago. Your sincerity and kindness make me feel guilty if I still stick with those craps feeling.

Even so, I guess I need to at least elucidate what was happening on past few days ago. Manifestly, my hubby and I had a great fight, it's a completely serious controversy about our daily life issue. I know, argument occurs often especially when couple stays together but this one is totally screwed us up. We refrained from talking for a day! Damn sick of it!! I merely felt like ignored him for the rest of my life that time. Luckily, we came to a common understanding and nailed things down. From now on, I just wanna enjoy every single moment and leave all the sadness behind. Hooray~~

So, get on! There are lot of things for us to wow with.

Firstly, Beverly's Secret visitors astoundingly reached 10k on March. I didn't notice that until I saw a message in my chat box. OMG~~ I couldn't believe it!

I know it's not a BIG deal since there are bloggers doing much more better than me but still, what a fabulous beginning (so to speak)! Hello...I only blog for 3 months. I couldn't find any reasons to stop blogging, darling. Therefore, stop complaining I spend more time with computer than you. Blueeekk :p

What's next buddies? More foods obviously!! Texas Bar-B-Q is so famous. Although I seldom take meat, I will never miss REAL Texas BBQ. Ruby's country store is highly recommended by local people.

The meats were medium cooked, juicy inside. It tasted even better with homemade BBQ and hot sauce. Hmmmmm...This restaurant was so organic and filled with 80's Texas feel. You might have a chance to see REAL cowboy riding on his house and grasping for his foods.

I won't bother if you're bore with all these Texas posts, still have more to go. Where are we? Ohh ya, Texas night life. SXSW (South by South West) music festival was awesome! Rock bands and alternative musics rocked our entire night.



What a crowd, it was so packed! And there was a long queue at the main entrance still. So, I bet you don't need further explanation about how well the bands were.

Texas is subject to 8.25% sales tax. That means, add an additional 8.25% on whatever you see on the price tag. I know some other states have even higher tax but I don't see any point to pay more since Portland is sales tax free. Unsurprisingly, that's the only reason I shopped less.
