Atonement

Thursday, March 27, 2008

As I proclaimed earlier, my hubby and I had a great fight due to some personal issues. Although we are cool now, friends of mine are eager to know how the "war" ended? Here is the deal.

Rule #1
Once the cold war started, my advice for girls is, step back and relax. Although either one has to make an effort to put an end on it, it shouldn't be us (I mean girls, obviously). Unless you did something very erroneous, then you have no choice but let your guard down and apologize sincerely. But most of the time, guys have to bare the responsibilities and consequences of bringing girls down. Hehehe...Sorry guys!

Rule #2
Girls, make yourself as pity as a homeless kitty or puppy (choose only one character please). Remember to keep your pretty face also if possible. Guys have the great sympathy over helpless and splendid creatures and I assure you, he will offer you far more than you can imagine.

After applying these two theories in practical way for a day, I received a love note!! See, I tell you, it works~~

letter2
If you can't read Chinese, here's the translation...

My precious, (ok, I start melting already)

I wanna date you for a movie today. There's a ticket in this envelope.
See you tonight.

Darling

Oohhh... How sweet... It's my favorite Stephen Chow's movie, CJ7!!! It's a long waited film for me. How can you be mad at him anymore since he is putting such a grand effort to make things right? Totally forgive and forget.

CJ7
I looked retarded no matter how hard I tried.

cinema
It seems like he booked the whole cinema for our date. Hey, do you know it's free seating in US cinemas?

I know it will be too late for me to review CJ7, but it just started to show in States, no harm to share. The movie was surprisingly touching and hilarious as always. The only downside is the whole movie were in Mandarin, voice over some more. How awful a Stephen Chow's movie is without Chow Sing Chee original and signature voice! I need a Cantonese version...

A date is imperfect without palatable foods. We went to a Chinese owned Korean restaurant for supper. Reasonable price yet mouthwatering.

ramen
Chinese Handmade Ramen US$ 8

bbq
Korean BBQ Chicken US$ 8

It turned out a gratifying date eventually. Both of us had so much fun before and after the movie. But girls, it's not ended yet! Last trick for you.

Rule #3
Reward your beloved one with your tender and care once he showed his effort. Give him hugs and kisses to show your appreciation and love. As you do so, he will definitely get a sense of satisfaction! hehe...Guys, isn't it worth a try to lighten up your sweetie?

very touching and romantic for the movie ticket~

Ultimate rule:

Girls must learn to stop yelling and screaming. High pitch tone triggers guy's ugly side :)

But of cos, being gentlemanly, I dont yell at girls, I just give them the cock stare.. hahahaa..

He's such a nice guy! ^_^

I like CJ7 too, it's touching and educational. Yeah, it's kinda weird without watching the Cantonese version. But, mandarin should be the original voice of the little kid, right?

The rule also can apply for guys too, not even gal.. I mean rule #1

Cause one hand claps, doesn't have sound effect. (所谓:一个掌声拍不响)
That the meaning. (If i not mistaken)

CJ7, i miss it again.
Year 2008, I still haven't watch any movie yet... Haiz...

China have The Art of War (孙子兵法; pinyin: Sūn Zǐ Bīng Fǎ) which is one of the oldest books on military strategy. Now we have a modern book called The Art of Beverly (Beverly丈法). These strategies are used to practice by lots of gal, especially the rule #2. Haha, I am homeless kitty ^^

"Unless you did something very erroneous, then you have no choice but let your guard down and apologize sincerely."... lol...

jus my two cents worth: felt that special treatment (e.g. guys always apologize first) given by their bf/hubbs is a privilige and not an entitlement. =)

haha.. that's a romantic way to calm down the cold war. But also something which can apply always in our life, not only to couples o.. *_*

I miss those American cinemas. Pricey for a ticket but worth it. They have free seating so to encourage people to go early. That one I don't like!

I usually save the big kitty eyes for when I'm driving, especially when I'm at an intersection. Just smile and adopt a cute smile, and anybody would let you pass. :P
