First Chinese cuisine

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

There are thousand things you must experience in San Francisco but the first thing I do is CHECK IN. Guess everyone will agree with me. This time we booked a room at a luxurious hotel called Sir Francis Drake which is located in the hub of Union Square (shopping district). On top of that, we get a fantastic discount from our friend, we paid US$ 57 per night instead of the normal rate US$ 350. Hahaha... Nothing can beat that, it was the best deal ever!

Be patient, I promised I'll bring you to tour around. Let me check in first, ok?

entrance
I don't know why they must dress up in this way and stand outside for 24/7. I strongly believe this is how Sir Francis Drake looked like. Alright, you might wanna know why my attire is totally different with the last post. You're right, I do not take this picture on the same day I checked in. Kekeke...

The lobby. I heart the chandelier!

The fireplace. I heart the chandelier two! (well, I mean I heart these two chandeliers)

This is where I stay for a week in San Frans. Also, this is where I update my blog and reply your comment during my free time.

Ok, dinner time! People, join me for the first Chinese cuisine at Great Eastern Restaurant, San Frans.

restaurant
(from the left)
Marsha, Jason and Chean. Both of them recommended this restaurant to us. Thanks buddies, it does save me from homesick.

jason
Ermm, excuse me, I'm the one who make the call. Hahaha...

sweet&sour
Pork with sweet and sour sauce, US$ 9

vege
Sauted on choy withgarlic sauce, US$ 11.50

claypot
Salted fish and chicken in clay pot, US$ 11

meehoon
Singaporean style rice noodle, US$ 8.50

Most of the foods tasted good except the rice noodle. I know, I know, it is a bit pricey and overrated. What to do? I still need to eat. Honestly, one of my mission in San Frans is to eat as much as I can. Hahaha...More to come, be ready friends.

** Coming Up Next **
My hubby's birthday bash and I am the exclusive one to report it! Don't go anywhere~~

Dear SockPeng,
Wow~~ Thanks for sharing! That time I wasn't care about the price seriously! I just want yummy foods! Hahaha~~

Dear GeOk kEE, Piggy, 墮天使-祥,
Yeah, I like it too! It a 4 stars hotel @.@

Dear 靓靓sally,
Milo? I have a huge tin in my house! I'm ok with milo but my hubby is a milo freak :D

Dear サクラ,
You are must welcome! Thanks for your comment! Glad to meet you as well.

Dear 邓秀茵,
I'm soooo sorry! It's the traffic :'(

Dear T-MO-T,
Yeah, I don't care about the price as long as the foods are nice! wakaka~~ More foods is coming!

Dear Keith,
Thanks for dropping by! Yeah, I need a comfy place to sleep! The nice hotel really helps a lot :)

Dear Mei-Wah,
Kekeke~~ Curry Fish Head...YUM~~

Dear bearlim,
My friend is staying at backpacker hotel as well! Not bad though! Those motels are quite comfy. I can't share room with others because I used to have serious insomnia problem.

Dear 林庭辉,
He is not rich though. But Yummy foods count first, then follow by the price! Hahaha...

Dear LimZhi,
I'm just using a normal Canon digital camera with 5.0 mega pixels. Also, I edited most of my pictures at Photoshop.

Dear Bell,
So touching! Thx for dropping by even you are busy!

Dear 傻鱼, mimid3vils,
Errmm, it's hard to find "on choy" in US. About the clay pot, tofu is lighter than chicken. So, obviously it goes on top of the claypot! Wakaka~~

Dear 天狼星,
No, we are not migrated yet. Kekeke~~

Dear cloudet & vivi0914,
Yeah! Nothing can beat that deal.

Dear Gabriel,
Errmm..don't convert though. The currency will make people crazy. haha~~

Dear Esther Goh,
Hehehe~~ IS that count? Yeah!!

Dear Somewhere in Singapore,
You are most welcome!

Dear Pinkster,
Of course I bring my own laptop! hahaha...
