Simply 2 Sweet

Friday, May 7, 2010

While I was sitting in the class and working on my pink lappie yesterday, a super nice friend of mine, Mira who sat next to me said something like: "Yooouuu... You have a kiwi on your nail!"

It's quite nostalgic when I first heard that because another cute friend of mine said something like that before too, not kiwi but strawberry.

This was zillion years ago. Anyway.

Needless to say, we spent the next 10 mins solely talking about the kiwi on my mani. She said they look super C.U.T.E on me (that's why I said she's a super nice friend of mine, she's just beyond awesome) :D

I think they are not just cute, they are simply too S.W.E.E.T! And I'm 150% positive that I will be the sweetest person on earth if I blog about the mani process and share it with the world~~

nailpolishes
Essential tools for today's tutorial.

1) Sally Hansen base coat
2) Sally Hansen top coat
3) Wet & Wild french while creme
4) Sally Hansen mellow yellow

Base coat always comes first, then base color, then deco. I've one awesome trick to share, which I truly think is super awesome and will potentially secure my "sweetest person on earth" title.

Many have said to me that, every time when they try applying bright color on their nails (I mean the real nails, not artificial one ok), somehow the color won't pop out as vibrant as they anticipated.

It seems really hard or almost nearly impossible to achieve the luminous effect without using high end high price nail salon products.

Nah, it's not true. All you need is just a little trick ^_______^

sweet_whitebase
Try applying two layers of white or cream color before the bright color, think of it like the white base to bring out the vivid intensity.

sweet_yellow+whitebase
See~~ This is the luminous effect we're talking about ❤❤

sweet_yellow-whitenase
And this is when you do it without the white base. Uneven tone and beyond hideous.

sweet_drawing
Once you've nailed the base cost and base colors, you can now start drawing and decorating them. Be creative and have fun :D

sweet_fimo
I just can't get enough of the fimo, using it for every possibility.

sweet_mani
Taa Daa~~ Sweet sweet love ❤❤

Do you spot the kiwi yet?

Enjoy,
Bev

yup! i agree with you, put the white colour as base colour 1st then only apply desire colour, I have seen this in taiwan show but never thought it can be used in nail art too.
they put the white eye shadow as the base coat then only apply colour eye shadow to enhance the effect, nice^^
