** Chinese Sweet Corn Soup **

The ingredients: sweet corn and drumstick. That's all.

Ok lah, you can add red date and dried boxthorn fruit if you like. Put everything into the pot and boil over high heat, for about 30 mins. Then simmer with low heat for about three hours.
FYI my house ran out of dried boxthorn fruit that time, so don't pandai-pandai comment something like "how come I ddin't see any dried boxthorn fruit?" or "did you put actually put dried boxthorn fruit?" Please ah...

The soup is R.E.A.D.Y~~
Now we need to prepare for our main dish, which is Chow Mee!
** Chow Mee (Stir-fried noodles) **

The dried noodle I cin cai bought at Asian Market.

Check the ingredients. Guess I don't have to list them out, do I? :P

And the ground pork, marinated with oyster sauce, say sauce, pepper, and corn flour.

Heat the wok with two teaspoons of oil. Stir fry the marinated ground pork first, then slowly add in other ingredients.

At the same time, slowly add the pasta to the boiling water. Ideally, the water shouldn't stop boiling, just like the way we cook pasta ;)

Put the cooked noodle into the wok and stir fry with all the ingredients.
Wait a second...
How come no egg one?
Well, apparently I was diagnosed with mysterious hives at that moment and I wasn't allowed to eat any eggs :(
So, I made this for Chean...

Smart or not? Learned it from my mum. You can treat that as decoration or simply to add extra flavor to the Chow Mee.

Y.U.M.M.Y!!!
If you happen to try those recipes, either one of them, kindly tell me how they turn out! I'm eager to know :D

Good day! I will try to cook the Chinese sweet corn soup myself by next week. Promise! HAHA:) Will let you know the outcome, so excited now.
Though long time never cook d.
I have a question here. Can I substitute the chicken drumstick with pork or mutton instead? Will the flavour still be the same or different?? Curious:(

我之前也是照你蒸鱼的方式依样画葫芦,可是出来的结果没有你的那么美感,我自己还不小心烫伤。这应该是个人‘手势’的问题吧。
p/s:我换部落格平台了,欢迎参观.
wow..... Nice fried noodles!
But did you put in any other seasoning when frying the noodles? Cos you just mentioned on how to marinate the meat....
Sorry, I'm really slow in cooking. Haha
