Nothing But Black

Chean raised a very interesting topic by asking why I stop working on the lookbook thingie yesterday.

To be frank, I'm tired of the magazine-like photo editing, it's just too much works. Although I was super into it at the very beginning, it seems less interesting as I stereotyping the editing process along the way.

I still find it really F.U.N to record everything I wear and the way I match my outfit, from shopping, mix-matching to photographing. I don't mind to devote my whole life just doing that, but definitely not the editing part :p Perhaps I'll bring the magazine-like photo back to BS once in a while, depends.

I always avoid turning things that I love to do to a full-time job. I guess once I have labeled something with "full-time" or "job", the thing that I love or used to love then become an order and the saddest part is that I'll feel obligated to accomplish that. At some point, the whole thing will slowly lose its soul and I'll simply do it for the sake of doing it.

I can see that coming totally, and that's why I stop. But that doesn't mean I will stop doing the lookbook; in fact, I'm finding a different way to work things out, channeling it back to the simplest form.
